Camp Assisi is a place where young minds can explore the beauty of nature and learn about ecological conservation through a Catholic perspective. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for middle school aged kids to grow in their faith and appreciation for the environment.
Camp Assisi Experience
Experience the Wonders of Camp Assisi
Camp Assisi (named after St. Francis of Assisi) is a Catholic ecological summer camp located on a 250 acre farm on the New River. The property is approximately 15 minutes to Boone, North Carolina and 10 minutes to West Jefferson, North Carolina. The working farm provides a perfect location for both children and adults to learn about nature and strengthen their connection with Our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
Camp Assisi has been in existence for some time for family campers and the guests of the owners. Camp Assisi now officially opens its gates to children of middle school ages as a traditional summer camp.
Our local Priest, Fr. Jacob, will be providing daily mass, reconciliation and adoration.
Our camp counselors and staff undergo an extensive training and all complete the “Safe Environment” training through The Archdiocese of Charlotte.
Whether it’s working with the animals on the farm, harvesting fresh vegetables or playing in the river, we strive to provide an environment that is both fun and anchored in our Catholic faith and teachings.
